I am currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where I collaborate with Professor Christian Rojas on a USDA grant focused on product reformulation, consumer behavior, and health. Our research involves analyzing millions of products at the barcode level that have been sold across the US in the last two decades, with the aim of quantifying how food manufacturers have reformulated their products under policy initiatives. Specifically, we are interested in understanding the impact of policy interventions on the nutritional content of foods and the subsequent effects on consumer behavior and health outcomes.

My academic background includes a PhD in Resource Economics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where I specialized in industrial organization and applied microeconomics, with a focus on policy evaluation and technological innovation. Along with my economics training, I possess a wealth of experience in data science and computer programming. In previous positions, I have held management roles in the telecommunications and energy industries, where I led multidisciplinary teams and developed public policy.

I hold an MS in Resource Economics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, an MS in Telecommunications Management from Oklahoma State University, and a BS in Electronics Engineering from ESPE in Ecuador. Additionally, I completed a certification in Statistical and Computational Data Science from the College of Information and Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. With this diverse academic and professional background, I am well-equipped to contribute to cutting-edge research in economics and related fields.
